Dec 29, 2012 - I give A. Dickey at Hair Rules my highest recommendation. This is the 2nd time I went to him. Several things distinguish him from other stylists whom I have tried: his haircut grows in beautifully, I can style it myself, and he doesn't cut off more than you want. The salon is fine, and the staff are all very friendly and professional. I saw women with every conceivable type of curl getting great cuts. This is a totally curl friendly salon for curls from A - Z. Bonus: I was in Saks afterward (guilty shopping spree for upcoming wedding) and a customer came up to me and asked where I had my haircut. She said I was beautiful!!! No one has said that to me in years. I'm still in shock over that one.

May 18, 2012 - Cristin fixed the horrendous haircut that I stupidly gave myself! I like what she did better than any other haircut I have ever had. She cuts hair differently - I don't know how to explain it. Sort of with the point of the scissors but not razor cut. My hair had to be cut very short because I had butchered it - but it's so cute and growing in beautifully. I've only gone once - often I like a cut the first time and then don't like what the stylist does subsequent times, so we'll see, but I'm very hopeful. She got terrific reviews on this site which is why I picked her. A delightful person as well. Go Cristin!

Aug 08, 2011 - I am totally delighted with my new cut from Alice at Christo's salon in NYC. I had been to her years ago and that cut was good, but this is sensational. I think the difference is that my hair is in much better condition since I have learned so much at nc.com. I highly recommend Alice to everyone. I've been to others at Christo and for a while I was going to Mark at the Frederik Fekkai salon, but nothing compares to this. She got my curls to have volume on top with perfect layering which was exactly what I wanted. She took my face shape into account. This is really A+++. The salon is lovely, specializing in curly cuts. The hair was cut wet, but I like this cut better than the 2 I got at Devachan because it falls evenly. It's a really cute, short, sassy cut - perfect and just what I wanted! I was treated in a gracious manner and served iced lime water since it was broiling outside and later hot coffee (since I'm an addict regardless of the temperature). Anyone who has any questions, please feel free to pm me. The cut was $155 (worth it!) and she spent a long, unhurried time showing me how to do it. I don't follow her instructions at home and yet my hair looks great. Nothing works like a great cut. Thank you Alice!!!
