darkhuntressk's Latest Salon Reviews

Salon Cercone - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States
Stylist:
eddy

May 26, 2012 - DO NOT GO HERE. I read glowing reviews about Eddy and this salon, but he had no idea what he was doing. I went to get my curly hair cut (I've got some tighter curls with some looser curls) and also dyed. He COMPLETELY messed up both tasks. First of all, he cut my hair wet, which is a big no-no for curls. He snipped at my hair like I had straight hair! He used no technique whatsoever that would indicate he knew how to cut curly hair. When it fully dried when I got home, I had crazy different lengths and it looked just awful. On top of that, he screwed up on the hair dye too! He missed entire sections of my hair, and I had to go back a second time so he could fix his mistake. If you have wavy hair, he'll probably do a fine job on you. But if you have curly hair, DO NOT GO. He's a super nice guy, but he butchered my curls.

Jamie

Jun 09, 2009 - Like many curly girls, I've had bad haircut after bad haircut. No one knew how to handle my curly/frizzy hair. But that all changed today when I went to see Jamie at the Frontenac Salon and Spa. Jamie was extremely nice and talked me through everything she was doing to my hair. Instead of doing what other salons did (straightening my hair and then cutting and layering), she cut each curl individually to shape my hair. The best part of all... she gave me my curls back!! I also received great maintenance and styling tips so I can keep maintaining my curls. I was so grateful when I left that I had my curls back. I felt super confident! I had a wonderful experience with Jamie and will definitely be back!
