Feb 09, 2014 - I moved to the bay about a year and half ago from NYC, where I LOVED my hairstylist. I had tried out a couple of places with good and more reviews from NaturallyCurly, and found okay women who could cut curly hair. After not loving my cuts, I took a recommendation from a coworker to check out Barberella, and I'm so happy I did. The staff is amazingly nice and friendly. The women who work there have all different kinds of style, which was comforting because my NYC salon was a multiethnic salon. I got my curls cut by Mitzi, and she was great! She cut my curls dry first, and fixed my shape. She listened to me when I said I didn't want my length cut. She checked in with me to make sure we were going in the direction I wanted. She was personable and professional, and just awesome. I highly recommend this place!
