Dove Quench Absolute Supreme Crème Serum

Feb 10, 2015 - The serum comes in a pump container and has a much lighter, more liquid consistency than the other three products. I pumped some into my hands and applied to my hair. It went on easily and penetrated the hair without being greasy or oily. Even though it felt lightweight going on, I thought the serum kept my curls smooth and moisturized and did not dry out as the day went on. By far my favorite product in the Quench line. **NOTE: I think that all four products in this line smell nice; however the scent is VERY noticeable, to the point of being perfume-y. Beyond that, the products themselves each have some very positive attributes.**

Dove Quench Absolute Intensive Restoration Mask

Feb 10, 2015 - The mask comes in a jar and has a thicker, creamier consistency than the shampoo and conditioner. I also applied the mask by smoothing it in, using my palms. The mask is much heavier than the conditioner and it did coat the outside of the hair more, but I felt that the mask did not penetrate my hair as well as the conditioner did. Perhaps if I had used a different application method that helped distribute the product through my hair more thoroughly, I might have had a better result. This mask just felt like it was thick and still sat on my hair, even after leaving it in for a period. I will try this again using a different application technique and hope for a better result. **NOTE: I think that all four products in this line smell nice; however the scent is VERY noticeable, to the point of being perfume-y. Dove Quench Absolute Conditioner

Feb 10, 2015 - The conditioner also comes in a tube and is very similar in consistency to the shampoo, buttery and rich. At first glance, the only difference between the two products on the hair is the lather the shampoo produces. So, just a caution to look closely at the tubes before you apply, to make sure you are using the one you meant to use. I applied the conditioner the same way I did the shampoo---by smoothing it in, using my palms. The conditioner also did a nice job of penetrating the hair without being overly thick and sitting on top. For me, however, this was NOT a conditioner with excellent slip. Although it did help soften tangles and knots, I still could not run my fingers easily through my hair. If you are looking for a good basic conditioner that rinses well and does not leave the hair rough and dry, this will work. **NOTE: I think that all four products in this line smell nice; however the scent is VERY noticeable, to the point of being perfume-y.
