Nov 12, 2009 - The original curly girl herself, Lara, is awesome at keeping up to date with trainings, trends and making any age look fabulous. Lara recommended the Curly Girl book to me recently, and now I am happily (and finally) going with it. I spent years asking her to give me the best blow out of my life, and of course it would never look good again until I went back. She has been encouraging me to embrace the curls for years. She has trained at the Sahag school in NYC, and is always going to national conferences (at her own expense) to see the latest and greatest. Add to that her crazy (somewhat granola) personality, and it's always fun to go in for a cut and color. I read some of the other reviews of Ann Arbor stylists, so just want to add that Lara loves and encourages longer hair! Not to mention the fabulous little bonus of a shoulder and neck massage before she styles! She is new to Contempo, and Salon de Lara is her big new venture into her own business, currently a space in Contempo. Contempo has a full salon /spa and a little shopping boutique and coffee bar with a cafe. Please check her out. It's worth it.
