Ouidad Mongongo Oil Multi-Use Hair Treatment

Feb 06, 2013 - I love this oil! I have tried just about all of the oils... and all they ever seemed to do was make my hair sticky or just coat the curls and add frizz. I am on my second bottle already, went with the large one this time! I tried it after and before leave in conditioner while wet, and it made my hair to puffy/fluffy. I like it much better after diffusing and almost dry. I spritz it on the ends and voila! It's great for second day hair as well. It makes my curls soooo soft! Best oil on the market for curls in my opinion!

Fox Hair, Inc. - Chicago, Illinois, United States
Stylist:
Jenny

Mar 22, 2011 - Finally; someone that knows how to cut curly hair in Chicago, is properly trained, and carries the products. I never thought that was much to ask for living in a big city, but in the five years I have been here, it always was until now. Jenny has been trained in the Ouidad cutting technique which works very well for my thick, long 3B hair (think Nicole Kidman or Felicity). I found her on the Ouidad website and have been a loyal customer ever since! The Deva cutting method does NOT work well on my hair at all - I end up looking more like a poodle with a big afro, so thank goodness for Ouidad and Jenny! I have also had my hair cut by John Torch in Toronto (founder of Curly Hair Solutions and also gives an amazing haircut), so I am quite discerning when it comes to my hair. Jenny is amazing - she evaluates your hair type, washes it with the appropriate Ouidad products (I always go for moisture), you can even get the Ouidad deep treatment if you like. She then cuts it wet, and is very careful and through...she really takes her time, which is key and listens to what you want (also VERY important with curls). The best thing is, she re-wets your hair after cutting before she styles it to eliminate frizz. Such a simple thing, yet so crucial - and no one in the past has ever done it. The styling is great too - she uses duckbill clips and explains all she is doing, then you can sit under the dryer to let your hair set for a bit (which I love) and then she finishes the drying time by diffusing for you. I actually leave looking awesome, and not having to run home with my hair wet and re wash it. People stop me all the time - in stores, on the street, etc asking where I get my hair done, and I tell them Jenny. Even some fellow curly family members and clients have converted! Yay for Chicago getting a curl expert!!
