Dec 21, 2012 - I am early middle aged with VERY thick, but fine textured hair that has a natural wave to it (2A). My natural hair color is very dark brown to almost black per my hairdresser. Two days ago, I had a salon color and changed it to medium carmel brown. The color had to be lifted using peroxide, and had to be done twice to get it light enough to get the color I wanted. So as you can guess, it was very dry and more damaged than it had been in years. The day after my salon color, I used this shampoo which mysteriously appeared in my mailbox. Thanks, somebody! Anyway, I used this shampoo, and it was a pleasure. Not only did it clean my hair well, but my hair did not tangle and go down the drain in wads like it usually does. The smell was pleasant, but not obtrusive. For the FIRST time ever after rinsing the shampoo out, my collarbone length hair did not even feel dry. I even wondered if I needed conditioner. However, I used a light conditioner and my hair felt wonderful! I towel dried it, combed it out without it having tangles, and let it air dry. This morning it is so soft, but clean. NO residue!!! It even has a nice soft wave with no fly-aways or frizz. I am sold so far. I'll update my review in a month or so, and let you know how well my haircolor holds up. I can't wait to try the conditioner as well. I would recommend this to anyone, with any texture of hair. I am a beauty junkie/snob, and seldom write a review, but Clairol Pro 4Plex Repair Daily Shampoo is a hit for me! I put away my brand new Yes to Blueberries shampoo which was nowhere close to the quality of this. And, I am NOT a professional or paid reviewer!!!
