MiraCurl Curling Gelly

Jun 14, 2012 - My hair loves jelly-type products and this is no exception. This gave me one of my first really good hair days at the beginning of spring. It gave me lots of clumps and made my waves perk up, which are two of the things I look for in a jelly product.

Curltopia - Smyrna, Georgia, United States
Stylist:
Robin

Jun 11, 2012 - I have to say, I was a bit skeptical about going in for a Devacut since I only have wavy hair (2b, fine texture, normal elasticity, normal porosity); I wasn't sure how much it would actually do for me and whether it would really give me a dramatic difference (especially since I'm not one to spend money on a haircut unless I'm pretty sure I'll see a difference). However, after seeing my results, the only regret I have is that I didn't get a Devacut from Robin sooner. Robin is one of the best stylists I've ever had (and I've tried a bunch through moving over 5 times in the last 10 years). During the consultation portion, she really listened to my questions and concerns (reducing the weight of my hair, keeping the length mostly the same, making my waves perk up), and made sure to repeat them in her own words so we both were on the same page. After listening to me talk about going CG and being a part of naturallycurly.com, I briefly mentioned I was also thinking of trying clipping; that was when she offered to show me how to clip (which I gladly accepted). Once she did my dry cut, I could already see my waves perk up. After she washed my hair and put product in it, she gave me a mirror to hold and explained how to clip. Then, after my hair dried from sitting under the hood dryer, she brought me back over to her station, scrunched out the crunch, did some final editing on my hair cut, and gave me a list of instructions on how to achieve the same look at home. She also asked me if I needed any product and when I said I was fine, she didn't push (which was extremely nice - I've had stylists insist I need whatever products they used and it made me not want to return to the salon, so I was very grateful Robin didn't do that). Overall, I was extremely pleased with my Devacut from Robin; she was worth every single penny and I will definitely be going back.
