Jan 26, 2011 - I hate to say anything bad about anyone, but if I can prevent even one person from experiencing what I did, then I have to try.I called Changes and asked for the highest ranked stylist who knows about and likes curly hair and got Lolita. I had never seen the curly girl book at that point and did not understand what was best for my hair. I figured Lolita knew what she was doing. My hair has never looked worse and got progressively worse with each appointment. I would stress that I wanted to wear my hair curly and Lolita would dry it straight and tell me that was just another option. All of the products Lolita suggested that I use were very drying to my hair, which she actually had the nerve to suggest was because I was aging. It got to the point where my hair cut alone was so bad that I had to have recut again every 3 weeks and the last time within 3 days at another salon, where the stylist diplomatically told me that I would not need to have it cut again for at least 6 weeks because now it had some structure. I wasted tons of money and time at Changes. I am glad to see from the reviews here that there are good stylists there for curly hair, just don't take anyone's word for who you get and read the curly girl book so you can appraise your stylists rather than blindly trusting the salon's rating as I did.
