Apr 17, 2013 - After my much anticipated appointment with Scott, I had mixed emotions. First of all, this guy knows his stuff. He is undoubtedly the expert in curls south of the Mason-Dixon. Going to his salon is like going to school. Scott takes the time to explain and illustrate every step of the cut and curl care process. His recommendation of products for me was spot on, and I loved the way they felt in my hair. On top of being super smart, he's just a nice guy--very down-to-earth, very personable. So why did I give him only a four-scissor rating? Because my hair is about 2 inches shorter than I wanted it to be. I asked him to cut it to where it touched my shoulders. It touches my shoulders enough--soaking wet. But when dry, it is way up by my chin. This means I'm going to have to straighten my hair for the first time in months so that I don't look like a poodle in my best friend's outdoor wedding this weekend. I don't even have enough to gather for an updo. (sniff) I know I will love it when it grows out, and I will most certainly be visiting him again in six months or so (however long it takes to grow it back out). Maybe it's just my karma with haircuts, but I would encourage prospective clients to be very clear about short or long they want their hair to be AFTER it dries.
