Feb 02, 2013 - Disclaimer: I just recently became interested in all natural products/curly girl techniques and this product was part of my first haul of all natural products for skin, body, and hair. Also, I consider myself very low maintenance and am somewhat unknowledgeable of all the complicated techniques and routines out there. So, there may be other ways to use this product for those people who embrace such routines. But for my purposes, this product did not do it for me at all. I used it for about a week before I gave up on it all together. I bought this conditioner along with the Honeysuckle Rose shampoo as a replacement for my old Loreal EverCreme Sulfate-free system. I used this product the old fashioned way, as a conditioner after shampooing (Although I've never shampooed every day, usually wash every other day), and I even tried it with the co-wash technique. In both cases, detangling was impossible. I had to use ALOT of the (expensive) product just to get even a fraction of the slip I'm used to when I detangle in the shower. As for the results outside the shower, my hair looked just OK, no better than when I was using my old system. (Although I did also switch my leave in conditioner to a natural alternative so the mediocre results could have been based on that change as well.) But what really got me in the end was its ineffectiveness in keeping my hair clean. My hair started to feel and smell dirty at the end of the first day, which has never happened to me in the past. Bottom line: This product made detangling a nightmare and left my hair feeling dirty after just one day. If you intend to use this product differently than I did, it may work for you. But in my opinion, this product was NOT worth the money, it was almost twice as expensive as my old conditioner and about half as effective.
