Cantu Define & Shine Custard

Aug 25, 2014 - I've been using this product for about 3 weeks now & we've been fighting!! I have a mohawk style & the nape of my hair to a little below my crown are 3c curls but the rest of my hair is between 4a-4c as I gradually go up. Anyway, I've used this product and I get GREAT results for the nape of my hair but as for the rest, where it's no longer 3c..it's terrible. It flakes up, crusts, makes it look like I have dandruff in my hair, & causes massive buildup! I co-wash 3 times a week as well as an ACV rinse & deep conditioning once a week. But after 2 days, I'm ready to wash again. & when I used their natural curl cream, no problems!! Not a great hold, but no problems. But as far as this stuff goes...hate it

SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie

Jul 23, 2014 - As somebody else mentioned, I was also excited about using this product..especially after finally getting rid of the rest of my relaxed ends. However, I was extremely disappointed. This doesn't do well (on my hair) with controlling frizz, minimizing shrinkage, & humidity. I now live in Georgia and it is always humid, even after it rains and the last thing I need is frizz!! Even when I was doing my twists (yes, I sealed with JBCO) I noticed the frizz. The next day, my twist out looked a mess..frizzy and shrunk. I had to constantly fluff up my hair. Love the texture of it, I didn't use a lot (as I try not to with new products) but won't and haven't used again. Completely switched to Cantu

Cantu Shea Butter Coconut Curling Cream

Jul 23, 2014 - It's a nice product always gives me the results I'm looking for with my twist outs. I just need something with a strong hold to define my curls more. Makes my curls frizz & turn into an Afro in the back, but keeps the top section of my hair intact
