Jan 03, 2011 - Melanie is a godsend to clueless people with curly hair. Growing up, my straight-haired mother didn't know what to do with my curls other than keep all of my unruly hair in braids or pigtails. In my teens, I "learned" how to straighten my hair (and even went so far as to use a clothes iron when needed) and that I liked my hair so much better straight (well, as straight as I could get it). I always hated the halo of frizz that surrounded my head and felt like if it wasnt straight and shiny that I just wasn't pretty. Fast forward to my 40's and me finding Melanie. Not only did she teach me how to care for my curls and to embrace them, but she gives a great cut and also is so patient with my curly-headed two year old boy. I have NEVER, even straight haired with the latest styles, received SO many compliments about my hair. I LOVE my curls and am so proud of them, all thanks to Melanie. I hope that Melanie will never leave the east valley as I don't think I could ever see a different stylist. Thanks Melanie for everything!
