Jan 25, 2011 - Beth is the best! She asked me what I had in mind, gave me a relaxed, unrushed and thoughtful consultation, we agreed on an approach and then she did EXACTLY what she said she would do. Which just happened to be exactly what I wanted. Wow! She also showed me how to recreate my style at home and wrote down all the products she used, but didn't pressure me in any way to purchase them. She cut my hair dry and it looked unbelievably good. I literally danced out. It was a great experience from beginning to end. It's a very cool shop- almost like a studio: lots of interesting art and wonderful light. Everyone in the shop is relaxed and very welcoming. I loved talking to Beth as well as to the young woman who washed my hair and gave me a great massage as well. I mention this all in relation to Beth because she's the owner and she sets and maintains the tone. I'm a 2b and 60 with lots of gray streaks... no denying the age...not that I would. But I've been to other 'cool' salons in and around DC and some of the stylists have been very aloof. Like I don't fit their image of what their clients should be. And I've come out with a haircut that's....well ...' curly grandma' best describes it. So to be welcomed, mutually decide on a haircut with my stylist, and get that haircut. Very very good. That was about a month ago and my hair still looks great. I can't say enough good things about Beth!
