Natalie was as sweet as ever. This was my first time getting my hair done at her salon and it won't be the last. I had a terrible experience previous to hers - my hair was down to my waist; long story short I ended up with hair at my shoulders. I asked for a color and trim - I got nothing close to what I asked for at the other salon; I was in her shop for 6 hours and at no point did she admit she took on more that she could handle.
Luckily, I didn't give up on finding a curly stylist and found Natalie. As soon as I walked in she was very kind. You can tell she is a geniunely good person - she is very positive and encouraging. And she knows her stuff about curly hair too! I explained my situation and that all I wanted was a shapeup / trim. I want to grow my hair back out and she understood that it must have been horrible to have 3+ years of growing my hair just gone. She was patient and only took off about an inch at most and gave a few shorter layers.
What I appreciated the most was she did EXACTLY what I asked for. She gave her opinion, but ultimately she asked me what I wanted and delivered. I said I used a mousse at home, so instead of using a lot of cream, she also used mousse. She asked if I wanted to purchase products, but she was not at all pushy. She also said she wanted me to leave happy. If I got home and hated my hair with my own products in it or it looked off, I needed to call her and she would fix it. And, if I did buy a product and tried it to find out I didn't like it I could just bring it back. I LOVED hearing this.
You can tell she loves what she does and she wants her clients to be just as happy when they leave her salon.
