Aug 11, 2009 - I love this stuff! I have very fine 3A curls and I've been searching for the right gel. I use this gel mixed half and half with the lavender mist recipe in the book "Curly Girl". Put it in a spray bottle and it gives me just enough hold and makes my curls look great.

Aug 11, 2009 - I'm a 3A and I love this product. My hair is very fine so I use Angell mixed half and half with the lavendar mist recipe in the Curly Girl book. Mix it in a spray bottle and squirt away. I holds my hair just enough. And it doesn't smell bad either.

Dec 30, 2010 - I reviewed Beverly just after she opened her salon a year ago and my review hasn't changed. Beverly is wonderful. She listens to your ideas on new products and how to save a little money. She gives you an education on the best way to care for your curls. In general, Beverly is just a great lady and extremely knowledgable in her craft.
Jan 17, 2010 - I found out about Hello Curls from an e-mail from this site. I was intrigued and checked-out the Hello Curls site. I made an appointment and was very happy. Beverly’s salon is small with a lot of light (big window). She focuses her attention on you, how you manage your hair and how it all fits into your lifestyle. Before one cut was made in my hair, Beverly “interviewed” me, what products I use, how often and I use them and how I use them. She cuts hair dry, then washes and styles. She tries to stay true to your routine for styling and gives suggestions. I didn’t know I was using gel all wrong (on towel dried hair), she suggested I put in on soaking wet hair, use paper towels to scrunch then placing curls to dry. If that’s all I walked away with, it was worth the price of the haircut. Beverly blocks out 75 minutes for first-time clients to learn about you and your hair. I’ve not only booked my next appointment, but I’ve also put her name and website out there for other curlies to check out. As others have said, you don’t just get a haircut, you get an education. I couldn’t be happier.
Sep 01, 2009 - I love this place. I found the salon through the Deva Concepts website. Rita is trained in the method. She's also the owner. It took me three weeks to get an appointment and it was worth it. Rita is a curly girl herself. Before she started anything, she played with my hair to see exactly how the curls fall and she listened to what I wanted. She put in long layers which gave my hair exactly what it needed to bring out the body. The salon also sells Deva Curl products.
