Kinky-Curly Curling Custard

Jul 18, 2011 - I have been using Kinky Curly custard for about two months. I am NOT a big fan of the product. It takes a long time for the product to dry. After the product has set, it left my hair feeling really dry. Worst of all, it made my hair look like a Jehri Curl (ewww!!)

Carols Daughter Rosemary Mint Clarifying Conditioner

Mar 26, 2011 - Prior to purchasing this conditioner, I never used any of Carol's Daughter product line. I brought this conditioner solely base on the company's positive reputation. So, I was really disappointed with Rosemary Mint Purifying Conditioner. It was not moisturizing at all. The consistency was seemed watery and thin. In fact, it tend to dry out my hair (totally unexpected). I would have to add additional oils in order to avoid the drying effect. The only positive is the scent of the conditioner. I would not recommend this conditioner for women with 4b or 4c hair.

Wen by Chaz Dean Fig Cleansing Conditioner

Mar 26, 2011 - I first saw this product on an infomercial. Typically, products on infomercials do not perform very well. Even though the commercial claims to work on every hair, I still thought it was a load of bull. However, I brought it anyway. First, I was completely wrong about WEN. It does work on African-American textured hair. I use this product as a co-wash and conditioner. It is great to detangle hair too. Unfortunately, WEN is costly. If you have thick and/or coarse hair, you may have to use more than suggested.
