Feb 27, 2012 - i am a little hesitant to buy super expensive products, because who knows what my weird, fine, fluffy, dense hair is going to like? my bathroom can attest; i had to buy a rack to shelve all of the hair products i have laying around that i am slowly working my way through. who knew i should have stopped obsessing over this and buying cheaper stuff when this is the business right here? i read the reviews saying that this and the knot today should be purchased - and used - together. the knot today is heavenly. feels good, smells good, great slip - immediately a dream product in my picky hair. used a little, then rake-scrunched it into my hair. so nice - IMMEDIATELY. the custard, not so much. i expected it to suck real hard from the get go because it made my hair feel dried out and rough to the touch once i applied. just a couple dips of two fingers did it in the goo, emulsified in my hands and then rake-scrunching with my head upside down. you will notice your hair feels really bad. you will also notice your hair looks like a wet version of how your curls look optimally. stop touching it, that means you've put in enough of it and you can diffuse or air dry. i used some cheaper pomades to scrunch out the crunch once it had dried. my hair was POPPIN' FRESH. seriously, so many curls. i am a convert.
