Redken Fresh Curls Curl Boost

Mar 13, 2011 - I went back and forth with this product for a day 2 refresher. I would spray a few pumps into my hands and distribute onto my hair. Did enhance curl and add texture but would leave it crunchy unless I diffused after refreshing. Also felt very waxy and product-y. I finally discovered aveda and said goodbye to my on again off again relationship with redken.

Redken Fresh Curls Curl Refiner

Mar 13, 2011 - I did not like this line of products. This "leave in" left my hair feeling like it had tons of heavy, waxy product in it and I used very little. Dried feeling crunchy and gross. Yuck!

Salon Hermosa - San Diego, California, United States
Stylist:
Gloria Sandoval-Hines

Jun 28, 2011 - Hi again, another "review" because I don't know how to have naturallycurly.com change the contact information listed for this salon. I just noticed that the address is totally wrong, too (older location). She's in a similar part of town though. Just make sure you get the address when you make your appointment!

Jun 10, 2011 - I wrote a review of Gloria at Salon Hermosa and realized the phone number listed for her salon is NOT correct. The number to reach her is: 1-858-354-4004. Hope that helps anyone trying to find her!

Feb 07, 2011 - I have been going to Gloria for 6 years and she gives the best haircuts ever! Gloria has naturally curly hair and she specializes in all types of curls and ethnic hair. I have seen clients ranging from anywhere between 2a-c hair up to 4 a-c. She cuts my hair dry which I love because I keep my length that way, but she will cut it wet if you like to where it straight a lot. Also, if you haven't had your had cut in a long time, she won't hack it all off because it's unhealthy; instead she'll give you options (ie. take off one inch now but promise to come back for regular trims so your hair can recover, etc.) She recently had a baby and closed her salon and I was so worried about my hair future (LOL!) but then she converted her garage at home (Linda Vista- right off of the 163 Genesee exit) into a cute mini salon offering hair and facial services. As a result, she only charges $25 for a cut! Gloria is really flexible with her cutting approach- she's not set on one method and really listens to what YOU want (ie. cutting dry, wet, damp, etc). She will cut your curls differently if you have one section, for example that is more like 3a curls and another that is 2b. I have referred many wavy, curly and kinky haired adults and kids to Gloria and they have never been disappointed. No more going home in tears realizing that your "trim" became a major cut because the stylist wasn't familiar with curly or textured hair. If you are looking for a glamorous very chic salon, this is not for you. If you are looking for a fabulous and affordable cut from a lovely woman, then you are in luck!
