Jun 08, 2012 - Emmett knows curly hair. Since going CG about 16 months ago (Feb 2011), I have been searching for a stylist who can cut and style curly hair. My search is over. Emmett is amazing. My hair is very fine, 3a, highlighted, and mid-length (maybe 2" below my shoulders). I have been trying to grow it out, and had not had a trim for about 6 months (my last haircut, at another Seattle salon, was, well, meh). Emmett first discussed my hair with me, in great detail, asking me about problems, styling/care, goals. He listened attentively, and, as we conversed, it was clear that he was very familiar with curly hair and knew what my hair needed. He outlined a plan for the cut and style for me, and I agreed. I appreciated his excellent communication-- there were no surprises. Hey, actually there was one surprise-- my haircut and style was fantastic. My curls were smooth and well-formed, my hair had volume but no poof or frizz, and the layers blended. I have never had such a good cut and style since going CG, and based on my previous experiences at other salons my expectations were not high. Emmett showed me some styling tricks, and introduced me to the Deva line. I recommend him highly, and the staff at the salon are great. At $63, this haircut was a major bargain. I highly recommend Emmett.
