Oct 12, 2013 - i started seeing karina last year and i was hooked. she cut my hair while it was dry, then washed and styled it. she explained about sulfates and not to use a towel or even your hands when styling your hair. i left with deva curl no poo, conditioner one. after washing my hair, i made an emulsion of b'lieve in the the conditioner and applies it to my wet hair. that was it! every other salon cut my hair wet and then dried it so much that i would look like a poodle. i am a 6 year cancer survivor. when my hair grew back, the top never grew aslong, making me look like bozo the clown or larry fine, take your pick. i had bang hairpieces made. when i came back to katrina again, she also washed and styled my hairpieces also. amanda told me i didn't have to buy the no poo, just wash my hair with the conditioner, then use the b'lieve in and conditioner. i drive a convertible, so i also carry deva styling creme to smooth out wind frizzies. when i came in again, katy colored my hair. she suggested that instead of a hairpiece, i get extensions, they would look more natural. she is an expert with extensions, and for the first time in a long time i feel beautiful. the extensions are amazing. they know their stuff. they do the right thing if a problem occurs. they educate. they may use deva curl products, but they are not divas. i am moving to athens, ga. both katrina and katy gave me the names and addresses of salons in athens, ga (go dawgs) who will do the same as they do. i just might tho, come back to delray, and have my hair done again by them. why? because they are and the whole salon is the best. if you have curly hair, you have to come to this salon. i promise, you won't be dissappointed in the services and education about curly hair.
