DevaCurl No-Poo

Mar 15, 2012 - I was a bit skeptical about using a shampoo without sulfate (the stuff the makes it lather) but I wanted to try it because I know it isn't good for your hair, especially curly hair. Sulfate is VERY drying and that dry curly hair is NOT CUTE! Forget what you heard! So I tried it...and the verdict is I loved it. At first in the shower I was thinking, this isn't going to get my hair clean but I will only wash it once because I want to see what product build up is left on my hair after one wash. I used the no-poo and the conditioner and my hair was super clean...I was shocked. I only had to wash it once, it was moisturized, and I didn't have to fight the wide tooth comb afterwards to comb it out. I am impressed my hair got this clean without the sulfate. I am now a believer. It is weird not having the lathery stuff in your shampoo but I am all about healthy hair, so as long as it gets clean I am all in.

DevaCurl Light Defining Gel (formerly AnGEL)

Mar 15, 2012 - Worked very well for my 3b hair. I am mixed and have very fine hair but a lot of it and it's curly. I used the whole DevaCurl line and used this after I got out the shower. My curls weren't crunchy but nice, soft, and bouncy. Gel held all day, which was impressive because since my hair is so fine I get frizzy fast...no frizz today! YAY! Pretty good! Curious to see what happens on those rainy days, if DevaCurl Angel gel will win or mother nature. So far I am pretty happy to be having a good curly hair day. :0)

DevaCurl One Condition

Mar 15, 2012 - I just tried this condition last night after buying it. I used this condition with DevaCurl NoPoo. This condition did a good job of keeping the moisture in my curls. Usually my hair gets really frizzy after an hour or so, especially if it is humid outside of I have to fight with mother nature. After I got out the shower I put a small amount of the conditioner back into my hair (about the size of a quarter) and then used the DevaCurl Angel gel and then the Devacurl set it free spray. I used the diffuser to dry my hair (upside down) and my curls came out great! Nice and bouncy, not frizzy, and the gel surprisingly held all day. It didn't leave my hair crunchy either! It was nice and soft. Since buying all these DevaCurl products were SUPER expensive I cheated a little and got the travel size version available at Ulta so I could try them all without committing my pocket book in case they didn't work for me. Worked very well for me, but I am still trying out some other products so see what I like best, but it definitely gets 4 stars from me.
