Redken Fresh Curls Conditioner

Jul 12, 2011 - I have used this with the Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo with great sucess. Right now I am not using any silcones/sulfates so this is on the shelf, however it has been my go to conditioner. It is not a heavy conditioner so I can use it daily without it weighing my 2B hair down. It has a thin texture and seems to absorb into my hair instead of coating it. I do tend to prefer conditioners that work that way. I always purchase from Ulta when they have their $14.99 liter sale which makes it a great value. If I fall off the CG wagon, I will go straight back to this.

DevaCurl Light Defining Gel (formerly AnGEL)

Jul 11, 2011 - Good light hold gel. I do prefer the Arc Angel for my hair because I need a little more hold. I love the fruity scent. Most people have a love/hate relationship with all the Deva scents. I also love that this gel is not sticky ( I hate thick gooey gels) and rinses out well. It is not a heavy gel yet you get a great cast over you curls which I scrunch out with either Deva Set It Free or the Deva Set Up & Above. The one thing that I dislike about the Deva gels is that it always feels like I have a coating on my hair. The price is a little high and I tend to have to use alot of product for my short hair so I am not sure if it would be a good value for someone with really long hair. I have purchased this from Ulta and Curlmart but I will not repurchased again because I prefer the DevaCare Arc Angel.

Kinky-Curly Curling Custard

Jul 11, 2011 - I like to use KCCC as a gel on top of AG recoil which I use as a curl creme. It seems to work best for me that way. I don't have a problem with the KCCC being too heavy and weighing my 2B hair down, I find that it works just the opposite leaving me with alot of shrinkage making my short hair look even shorter which sometimes isn't a good thing. I like the ingredient list and the fact that I can pick it up at Target for $16.99. The price is a litte steep but a little will go a long way. Overall it's a great product that I keep in my rotation. I also think that it keeps the AG recoil from drying out my hair.
