Jun 11, 2009 - Jen used to work out of The Beauty Lounge in downtown Akron, but recently moved to Mod A Salon in Akron. I had a root touch-up and highlights done on this visit and I am more than happy with the results! I also took my curly son for a cut and his hair looks great! He was also very pleased with the results :) As with MY 1st appt with Jen, she paid just as much time and attention to my son's individual curl needs which was a delight to a very particular 15 year old boy! On a side note - Jen said that all her appts. today were with curlies. I highly recommend Jen for all the curlies in the area that don't already go to her! Apr 28, 2009 - Jen was fabulous! She has trained at Devachan in New York and she has been the only stylist I've found in the area that will do a dry cut. Jen went through my hair and cut curl "families". I could not believe how much attention she paid to my curls and their personalities. My hair actually has a nice shape now. Something I haven't had in over 15 years! Jen used Devacurl products on my hair and I think I'm going to have to buy some now. They sell Devacurl at The Beauty Lounge, but were out of ArcAngel (which I definitely wanted) at the time. Speaking of product, Jen did not give a sales pitch at all, yet she was well informed about the Devacurl line. Most stylists I have dealt with are really pushy about product during and after my cuts. I will be taking my curly son to her soon and I will continue to see Jen at The Beauty Lounge for all of my curly needs! I highly recommend her to all the curlies in the area!
