Kinky-Curly Knot Today Leave-in/Detangler

Sep 16, 2009 - This is the first leave-in that's worked for me for as long as I can remember. I bought it because after reading the reviews of KCCC, it seems like it would work best when paired with this. I actually needed a leave-in anyway, either they all have cones or don't do anything at all. I haven't used it as a regular conditioner yet, but it gives so much slip! Not much is needed at all, though I had to replace my bottle after I was about 1/4 of the way through my tub of KCCC. It has a light kind of cherry-almond smell that isn't strong, just pleasant. The consistency is also great, creamy but light and easy to spread and distribute. I'll be sticking with this conditioner for as long as they keep making it!

Kinky-Curly Curling Custard

Sep 16, 2009 - I got this at Whole Foods, after reading so many good reviews about it. Nothing else has worked for me past a couple of uses. It was $26 but since it lasts a long time, it's really not expensive. I got it back in late July and it is about 1/4 to 1/3 gone. I have waist length hair so that is pretty good! At first i didn't use enough, which didn;t hurt my hair but it was soft and fluffy with little definition. I have had the most luck with wetting my hair with Knot Today first, then applying it to my hair in sections...two is fine. Then I scrunch it and leave it alone. I'm left with soft, shiny, elongated but not weighed down ringlets that are bouncy! I'd recommend this product to anyone with curls or waves...it will be my staple for as long as they keep making it! I like the "slimy" texture because it is so easy to spread and distribute, and the smell is subtle and nice. Like vanilla/sugar but not in a sickening way.
