The waves of war veterans returning home now includes nearly 2 million women, the highest ever in American history. By 2020, that number is expected to increase by 1 million, but many of these women are returning to an unfamiliar life  and to a health care system that does not support them.

Enter Fatigues to Fabulous, a service dedicated to assisting these women through the critical transition back to civilian life. In collaboration with three 501c3 organizations — Grace After Fire, The Society for Women’s Health Research and Business and Professional Women’s Foundation — Fatigues to Fabulous has launched it official PSA. Hosted by the drop dead gorgeous (and uber cool”> model Erin Wasson, the video features five female veterans and sheds a light on the struggles female warriors face in adjusting to life outside the battlefield.

With support from DKNY, IMG Models and the New York Yankees, the PSA was debuted via jumbotron to thousands attending a Yankee game earlier this week and to everyone watching from home. An issue that deserves much attention, we are happy it was given such placement and reminded us that honoring women vets is forever fashionable.
