A Kiss Curl is made by smoothing or plastering down one face-framing curl. Its original title includes the form in which it was being plastered to the face (saliva), but now we have edge control gel and pomade for that, thankfully.
What seemed like a dying trend has been recycled and resurfaced once again.
2014 was the comeback year for Kiss Curls, no doubt. We saw everyone from Zoe Kravitz to FKA Twigs...Men and women of all ages, races, and ethnicities rocked the slicked down curl, and baby hairs once again became all the rage. I think it's here to stay--for another year, at least, until we get bored again and decide to bring back Rushens.
Psst... Want to get the look?
Grab an edge control tamer, twirl one curl around your ear till it's sticky, and smooth it down to your skin.
