Rocker Steven Tyler of Aerosmith stole Carrie Underwood's thunder by storming the stage with his crazy curls. He even rocked the very popular feather hair extensions. Tyler air dried his locks with a scrunching gel and the feather extensions are put in just like hair extensions with a locking bead.
Jennifer Nettles from the band Sugarland, which won Duo of the Year, showed how much she loves her amazing curls! She always wears her hair natural and doesn't try to tame her naturally curly hair. Nettles held her curls in place with a hard hold curling gel and a scrunching spray during her performances.
Dierks Bentley, whose album, Up on the Ridge, was up for Best Album, sported curly locks. Bentley used only a pomade to hold his curls in place as he rocked the audience.
Taylor Swift, ACM's 2011 Entertainer of the Year, showed off her light brown hair with loose tendrils. Loosely curl the front and top of the head with a large barrel iron then sweep gently to one side.
Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry, which won for Best New Artist, kept true to her curly roots by keeping her beach blonde look. Her volume was increased by diffusing with a firm hold gel to keep her curls in place all night.
Kimberly Schlapman had amazingly awesome spiral curls—ridiculously perfect—we never want her to straighten them! Style and dry upside down to create the same amazing volume and hold. Schlapman simply used a soft curling creme.
