As a curly girl, our cabinets are usually filled with shampoos, conditioners, and styling products. Some are Product Junkies and cannot wait for the next item to be released. Even though my product junkie days are over, there are still products that I keep in my Holy Grail and I have to have. However, there is one product that is my absolute favorite and I cannot let go!
My curls love moisture! My regimen includes products and ingredients that will leave my curls with lasting moisture and definition. When creating your lasting moisture for my curls, it also starts with the beginning of your wash day. After cleansing, I use SheaMoisture’s Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Conditioner and my curls absolutely enjoy it.
Ingredients
The ingredients leave my curls shiny and bouncy. Manuka honey can assist with providing moisture, maintaining a healthy scalp due to anti-bacterial properties, and also fight frizz. Shea butter can also leave your curls with lasting moisture. The conditioner also includes Mafura oil, an oil that can soften and moisture your hair. This conditioner also has plenty of slip, which allows me to evenly distribute the product and easily detangle my curls. The smell is amazing and makes my detangling session more pleasant. The pump is also a great addition, since I won’t have to constantly pick the bottle up and squeeze during wash day.
Moisture
My detangling process is simple, but without the proper conditioner, tools, and technique it can be time consuming. I divide my hair in 4 sections and create 3 more sections within the original sections. Generously, I apply the conditioner and use a wide toothed comb and slowly detangle from the bottom to the top. When I come across tangles and single strand knots, I slowly take my time to work my way through them. This allows me to prevent additional hair loss, keep my ends healthy, and have my curls thoroughly detangled for my styling session. There are times when I do not fully rinse my conditioner out, because I enjoy how moisturized my curls feel when using this product.
A bottle of this conditioner can last about a month. When I see the bottle is running low, I’ll run to Target to purchase one in advanced. This collection does not last as long in the locations near me, so I try to purchase in advance before my wash day. This conditioner is affordable, accessible, provides high quality ingredients, and my curls love it!
