How long have you been natural?
Kelsey & Kendra: We’ve been natural for over 4 1/2 years. We’ve never looked at it as a “Journey”. We just made a conscious decision to stop getting relaxers in 2010 and started the transitioning process. We realized that we didn’t need relaxers at all. We just wanted our hair to be more healthy. We never took any before and after photos because we didn’t look at it as a “Journey” but as a “New Hair Lifestyle”.
What’s your daily hair routine?
Kelsey & Kendra: We wear our hair curly 6 months out of the year (normally warm/summer months. So it really depends on if we wear it curly or straight because sometimes we do straighten our hair. If it’s curly we generally put it up in a pineapple at night. Apply our favorite Curly product, shake it out in the morning and go! If it’s straight we wrap it at night and comb out/style the next day.
