The natural hair online community is bursting at the seams with questions and concerns, and they go beyond just hair. There is a lot of information and opinions on right and wrong and many women just want to know, what’s going to work for me and my hair?

In an effort to answer that question, and many more, Design Essentials brought the conversation offline. The first Curls N Conversations event was hosted in Atlanta at a local salon, and when the community caught wind of what was happening women began to demand events in their own local areas.

In 2013 Design Essentials brought Curls N Conversations on the road, allowing women all over the country to take part in these conversations in their neighborhood salons.

This year, the platform is larger than ever before. Thousands of women can now attend Curls N Conversations at natural hair expos around the country. The first will be in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday March 29th. Click here to see if Curls N Conversations is coming to an expo near you.

We’re particularly excited about the Birmingham event because our very own Social Media Manager Evelyn will be speaking on a panel with thought leaders of the natural hair movement like Jess Lewis aka Mahogany Curls, Kiki Stevens of Mahogany Knots, and Design Essentials Master Stylist Deshonica Green.

Be sure to stop by and say hello to Evelyn, we’d love to share your photos on our Facebook page!
