Once you have conquered the hurdle of finding products that give you long-lasting moisture, then everything else is a breeze. A lot people forget that the foundation to a great style is healthy hair. When your twist outs can never maintain definition, your ends are frayed when you flat iron, and detangling always results in massage breakage, that is a clear indication that your hair is not at its healthiest. In the event that you are still looking for a go-to brands that are sure to give your hair moisture and strength, here are three brands that I highly recommend.

SheaMoisture

SheaMoisture has a collection for everyone. The current lines include the following:

  • African Black Soap
  • Superfruit Complex
  • Coconut and Hibiscus
  • Raw Shea Butter
  • Yucca and Plantain
  • Jamaican Black Castor Oil
  • Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil
  • Tahitian Noni and Monoi
  • Zanzibar Marine Complex
  • Fruit Fusion Coconut Water

This brand has such a strong cult following that even with a bathroom full of products people will purchase their newest products to make sure their not missing anything. I already have a high esteem for SheaMoisture and I love seeing brand expand. Their packaging is full of detailed directions and product claims backed by quality ingredients.

Whether you are in need of moisture, protein, or color preservation, SheaMoisture will never fail you. My favorite collections are the Superfruit Complex, Coconut and Hibiscus, and Jamaican Black Castor Oil. Their masques seem to be the draw for many naturals, and when a brand can make a great masque, I trust that the rest of their product will perform up to par. Shea butter is the foundation of all their collections and some of their most commonly used ingredients include coconut oil, soybean oil, behentrimonium chloride, panthenol, and of course various essential oil blends.

Darcy’s Botanicals

Darcy’s Botanicals products are slip central. My favorite products include the Darcy’s Botanicals Coconut Lemongrass Transitioning Creme, Darcy’s Botanicals Organic Coconut & Aloe Moisture Pudding, and Darcy’s Botanicals Sweet Cocoa Bean Curl Smoothing Cream. These products help to smooth and moisturize my fine strands without leaving them weighted down. They also layer well with any brand I use before and after its application. The brand’s specialty is moisturizing styling creams, so if you are on the hunt for styling products, then you should give Darcy’s Botanicals a try.

Bee Mine

If new product released every four months is too overwhelming, then Bee Mine might be your brand. Simplicity is the best way to describe this beloved brand. I have built an entire regimen with Bee Mine products and it never disappointed. I love the Bee Mine Botanical Moisturizing Shampoo, Bee Mine Bee-U-Ti-Ful Deep Conditioner, Bee Mine Luscious Balanced Cream Moisturizer, and Bee Mine Bee Hold Curly Butter. All are all great products that leave your hair supple with no need to refresh throughout the week. Some of my favorite ingredients in these products include avocado oil, mango seed butter, coconut oil, aloe vera, shea butter, jojoba oil, hydrolyzed wheat protein, vegetable glycerin, silk powder, cetearyl alcohol, behentrimonium chloride, cupuacu butter, honey, and panthenol.

Which brands are you loyal to?
