Bun

Yoga practice and classes present a challenge for longer hair. A very loose, high ponytail, loose bun or a twist will keep your hair off the floor or mat and out of the way for shoulder stands and bridge poses. If you regularly do headstands, you may want to opt for pigtails or an off-to-one-side bun so your hair won’t distract you.

Using hair ties to pull hair back snuggly and then wrapping hair around the tie, using the tie to secure the style, will keep hair in a secure, but simple bun. To push back fly-aways that can distract you, use a simple headband. Once your hair is out of the way, you can begin to achieve ultimate yoga clarity.
