There are so many products that have become my absolute favorite this year. I have found that the key to looking for the perfect products for my low porosity curls is to find products that are light. It’s so easy to use the wrong products that leave your curls feeling greasy and heavy. Light products and light application are key. I’m always on the hunt for products that work well for my hair, so here’s another roundup of some of my faves! Here are some more of my favorites for my Type 3a hair.

Cleansers
Carol’s Daughter Sacred Tiare Shampoo and Conditioner
Both of these products smell absolutely fantastic. The sulfate free shampoo contains ingredients such as sacred coprah coconut oil, tiare gardenia, shea butter, moringa seed oil, hibiscus extract, vegetable protein, and silk conditioner which have been great for my dry and brittle hair. I can always count on this product to revive my hair when I know it needs a little kick. It also has a lovely slip like quality to it and is a product that will last you months! As for the conditioner, it has similar moisturizing ingredients. I even love to deep condition with this product. It always ensures that my curls will feel moisturized and bouncy.
Jane Carter Solution Moisture Nourishing Shampoo and Nutrient Conditioner
I absolutely love this line. Both products contain moisturizing ingredients that mesh so well with my fine curly hair. The paraben-free shampoo has all natural based ingredients such as coltsfoot, lemon balm, and myrrh. These all work together to leave your curls feeling gently cleansed and moisture.
In addition, the conditioner never fails to leave my curls feeling moisturized, stronger, bouncy, and healthy.
I love both of these lines because they are light, gentle, and always leave my curls smelling heavenly.
EO: Essentials All Natural Conditioner Rosemary + Mint
This natural conditioner will always and forever be my favorite cowash. I order it off of Amazon and love that it comes in a gigantic bottle. It lasts forever and the rosemary and mint are the perfect gentle combo to cleanse my hair just the way I like it.
Leave-ins
Jane Carter Solution Slumber Party Creamy Leave-In Conditioner
This leave-in smells incredible and doesn’t leave my curls feeling heavy. It’s light and deeply moisturizes all over my head. It contains restoring lipids, sunflower oil, and maracuja oil that give the product great slip. It’s so easy to apply and pairs so well with jane carter’s other line, curls to go. I love pairing this product with the elongating gel. It’s one of my go-to styling routines.
Devacurl Supercream Coconut Curl Styler
This silicone-free styler has been another one of my absolute go to leave ins. This coconut infused product has a rich yet light consistency to it. I love pairing this product with Bouncecurl’s light creme gel. It gives my curls the ultimate definition and moisture.
Gels
Bouncecurl Light Creme Gel
This texture friendly product is hands down my favorite styling gel. I can either pair it with a leave in or just use it by itself. Either way, I know I can always count on this wonder product to get the curl definition I need. This gel is so light, has incredible slip, and gives my curls amazing volume. It is infused with healing ingredients like aloe as well as a bunch of secret middle eastern oils that are everything your curls will ever need.
Jane Carter Solution Coiling All Curls Elongating Gel
This gel smells delicious and is enriched with moisturizing ingredients such as nettle leaf extract, aloe vera gel, and coconut oil. This gel is light and gives your curls a last hold without leaving your curls feeling dry and crunchy. This is another product that will last you a long time and never fail to give your curls the definition you seek!
Oils
Ouidad Mongongo Oil
This all texture friendly oil is infused with Mongongo Nut Oil, Coconut, American Palm Seed Oil, and Broccoli Seed Oil all of which go to fighting frizz, providing softness, and is great at protecting your curls from environmental stressors and heat damage. I love using this as a finishing oil. I find that this product gives my curls a lovely finishing sparkle I seek on special occasions.
Darshana Natural Indian Hair Oil
This oil is another all texture friendly product that focuses on restoring and maintaining your hairs health. This oil is rich in organic Botanicals, Sunflower, Coconut, and Orange oil. I love using this product when I feel that my curls are brittle and need some extra TLC. I love mixing this oil with a deep conditioner. I find that this oil is the ultimate self-care day treat.
Treatments
SheaMoisture Tahitian Noni & Monoi Hair & Scalp Weekly Therapy
This all texture friendly product always deeply hydrates and strengthens my hair. The exotic scent is irresistible and contains antioxidants which are great for soothing the scalp and encouraging growth. I am currently growing my hair out at the moment so that is a quality that I really enjoy in a product. The product has a thick consistency but it never leaves my hair feeling heavy.
I also love that is free of parabens, phthalates, paraffin, gluten, propylene glycol, mineral oil, synthetic fragrance, and much more. This leave in is a must try!

This nourishing mask is enriched with ingredients that help restore and give your locks the ultimate restart. I love this product because it is rich with Pro-vitamin B5 and proteins that leave my curls feeling healthy, bouncy, and completely revivified.
