Unless your hair is really damaged and snapping off because of it I don't understand how protein in your conditioner will help.
Now your hair is not the first place your body will give protein to if you're lacking it in your diet, what you ingest.So you need to keep protein in the diet for your hair.
The hair already on your head though is dead and it's the root that either holds on or lets go and sheds.
Low porosity, medium texture.

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!
