I'd say 3b, maybe near 3c. As previous posters have said, curl type isn't important compared to porosity and texture (this site can help you figure out yours: http://livecurlylivefree.com/curly%20hair%20basics.htm).

As a fellow 3b, I will say from experience that it's not that 3b loses curl as it gets longer but that it seems to show past damage and current overconditioning on the ends more obviously than other curl types seem to (both of which result in the sort of loose curl on the ends in your 2nd photo). More weight to your hair will cause your curl to 'pull out', but usually that'll be uniform, not just on the ends.
