Fine hair and porous hair generally like/need protein. Just because your hair is low porosity, doesn't mean you need to stay away from protein. It's coarse hair that doesn't like protein. I do a PT at least once a week in the summer and 7-10 days in the winter. I use a lot of products that contain protein.
