I did the big chop about a year ago because i was too impatient to just wait for the relaxer to grow out. a few months ago i straightened my hair but the heat was too much for my curls to bear i ended up with a whole lot of heat damage i tried to repair my hair but all the protein and moisture in the world couldn't help. I have 3c/4a hair and i recently learned that some curlies can't flip back and forth between straight and curly. i guess im one of those. i've been wearing my hair straight because i honestly dont know what to do with the 2 more like 3 textures, but im ready to make a decision. to start over either i do a second big chop or grow it out and gradually cut he damage off...help! and whoever votes for growing it out i need some styling ideas pls pls pls!!!!!

That said I don't understand the people who come on NC and say their hair is full of split ends or breaking off severely and they don't want to cut it no matter how straggly it looks. That mentality baffles me. I think is someone actually cares about their hair they would get rid of that before there is even more damage to the strands. Because split ends and extreme breakage will get worse if not cut off.

Anyway, if you don't have these problems you can do wet sets like braid/twist outs, rollersets, curlfomers, flexirods. bantu, buns, ect. Or you get go to options like braids, wigs, weaves. If you do cut again it's not the end of the world. Some ladies have bc'ed several times because they wanted to and not because they had to. They just like the shorter style.
Good luck.
Yes, it's real. No, you can't touch it.
