Georgiapeach, is your hairstyle in violation of your company's dress code or appearance policy? If so, that assistant manager needs to address it with you formally as an HR issue. If it's not, then YOU need to talk to your HR manager, because that is harrassment. If your company doesn't have an HR department, talk to the assistant manager's boss and tell that person what is going on and that you want it to stop.

So sorry this is happening to is NEVER okay to remark on an employee's personal appearance if there is no violation of company policy.
