^It only takes 30 minutes and a big can of tomatoes. There's really nothing to it but cooking some onion, garlic, and tomatoes (other additions depend on the purpose of the sauce). Nothing to fear. Heck, soon enough fresh tomatoes will be in and there's a sauce I make that takes ten minutes to make and is just tomatoes and basil.
