I may have found a combination that works! PICS

I say MAY because really my hair still seems a gamble. Any day could be a great hair day, an okay hair day or an "I wish that I could start over" hair day. Really. Sometimes with exactly the same ingredients and steps!!

I have gotten great hair days a few times in a row and it makes me wonder if I have tripped upon a combination that works for me.

*Cleanse (either of my lowpoos seem to work the same)

*Condition ends

*Rinse well

*Scrunch in a pea sized amount of Leave-In (Deva Heaven in Hair and CJ Deep Fix seem to work best so far) on dripping hair that is hanging

*Scrunch water from hair with heavy white t-shirt

*Apply Alba Strong Hold Gel

*Apply Matrix Biolage Gelee

I know. No one wants to hear without pics. First pic is from a day or two ago (second day hair) and the others from today with freshly cleansed hair.

I am really surprised at the spirals and clumping. I do not know if it is something in those leave-ins (protein?) or the fact that I am taking water from hair before applying gel. I told you that it is a gamble and I really never know!!
Anyway, here are the pics:

Wow! That's the curliest I've ever seen you hair! It looks great. I hope it continues to work for you. I've been towel drying before I put in products, too, and have had some luck - more volume for sure. As we've said before, it's an experiment every day!

Wow, your hair looks great! I'm loving those curls at the bottom! I can't find any pics of your before hair, care to share?
Looks great! Did you change the color as well?
That looks falbulicious! So incredibly shiny. What styling skills!

I color my hair myself and always used my natural shade (but colored to cover the "platinum") which is medium brown. With all of the products I use, I noticed that my hair looked black. I love really dark hair but I am really devoid of any skin color so it looked bad on me. I switched 6 months or so ago to a brown that is slightly lighter (so it is just covering new growth) and then when I add product, my hair looks it's regular color.

Wow, impressive! I bet a lot of it's the protein. Our hair seems somewhat similar, and that's what's made the most difference for me.

I always take water from my hair before applying gel, both by scrunching with something non-terry and by partial diffusing (Smasters method), but that doesn't make too much difference if I'm getting low on protein again.

But again, I could be totally wrong, LOL! You know how different seemingly similar hair can behave.

i LOVE my biolage firm hold gelee--is that what you're using? i think it has good shine and it does what Deva's Angell is supposed to do--i can apply bunches and then crunch it out easily once my hair dries--and it doesn't weigh me down. i esp. love it in summer.

let us know if this combo keeps on working for you! looks great! and the hair color is very pretty and shiny, like the others said.
