How much?

How much product do you typically use and what is the length and density of your hair?

I'm asking since I've been overconditioned and having lots of build up. I'm assuming I was using too much and need to cut back to prevent it from happening again.
I have shoulder length (mostly), fine, average density hair and if I were to use your basic drugstore conditioner like Suave, I'd use a dime or nickel sized blob, add a little water in my hand and apply. If that didn't cover everything, I'd use a bit more. If it were a very creamy conditioner, I'd use less.

I get overconditioned easily. If your hair is too soft, it won't hold the waves/curl.
I have super thick hair (4.5 in circumference when in ponytail!) and it's about to my bra strap line, maybe even a bit longer now.

Conditioner: probably about a half dollar size depending on how moisturizing it is and what my hair needs
Leave-in: just a little bit, probably about a nickel's size
Stylers: If it has a pump, then a pump for half of my hair so two pumps all together
Gel: Varies
Coarse texture, normal-high porosity, normal elasticity (Komaza Care), very weak waves
cleanser: Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo, CJ Daily Fix

rinse out: GVP Conditioning Balm, CJ Beauticurls, CJ Smoothing

jellies/creams: CR Curl Maker, KCCC
gels: CJ CQ, CJ Pattern Pusha, BRHG

Wow I am really really glad I asked. No wonder why I was overconditioned. I was using about three palm fulls of suave for my cowash!
