CG or mod CG?

I went CG about three weeks ago, and ever since my hair has been worst than it was before. Maybe my hair just needs a month to adjust, or maybe CG just isn't working for me? So I was thinking about going modified CG.

So, for those of you that have tried both methods, did you get better results with CG or modified CG? What do you think is best for us wavies?

Currently trying out the CG method again as of 1/3/12!

Current Routine:
Co-wash/RO: Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle
Low poo: Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat (when needed)
Products: LA Looks Sports Gel and Curly Kinks Coil Jam

I found mod CG worked best for me. Full on CG made my hair flat and dull.

I haven't shampooed my hair since I went CG. I used to co-wash every other day but I only do once a week now. (Exception: couple shampoo bar experiments)

My hair looked awful for over a month. It took me almost 6 weeks to figure out the right products, amounts of product and routine for me. After 3 weeks of terrible hair, I picked a conditioner and a gel (no experimenting) until I figure out how to do my hair. Things settled down within a couple weeks. But it was probably 6 months before it looked really good. After I'd found the right products for me.

That being said, many wavies have to use a low poo.

I cowashed for six months and my hair was fine. I added natural soap bars to my routing (gentler then lowpoo) and my hair is much better--tighter curl and more volume. For me, modified is better. Also, using more natural products and fewer chemicals has been a bonus.

Wurly, fine, thin, moderately to heavily porous. Mod CG.

I've transitioned from mod CG to liberal CG, if there is such a term. (LOL!) I'm mod CG during the dry seasons.
