You all seem to think I may have more of a protein sensitivity, and that's what's causing the horrible brittle, straw-like texture? What kind of things do you recomend for a protein free DT?

I figured my hair was low porosity by doing a strand test. Did a lo-poo wash, then got a few shed hairs from my brush and floated them on a sinkfull of water and they just stayed there for aaaaages. Also my hair takes forever and a day to dry.. Like, I can go to bed with it wet, and wake up still wet.. or if I wash it in the morning, it'll still be damp in the evenings!
