Heh, this is like a puzzle.

The second one obviously has more protein but as far as hold, I *think* the first one may be stronger. My reasoning is its inclusion of a sugar and linseed extract (which is flaxseed gel). The second one seems to only have gums as holding agents, and my experience with gums in gels is that they are lighter hold. To my knowledge, proteins don't increase hold.

But to paraphrase another curly - I am not a chemist, I just want pretty hair.
