Hey everyone, does anyone use the My Fitness Pal app for I phone or IPad? My sister has been using it for a year and a half and lost 40 lbs tracking her calories and recording what she ate to put it all in perspective.

Im using it and I love it! It is way more effective than keeping a food journal. I think you can also download it on the computer if you don't have an apple device. I want to lose ten pounds but I also got the app to see how much nutrition I am actually getting from my diet and I want to increase my vegetable and water intake.

I just wanted to share some basic info on how it works. You enter your current weight, your goal weight and how much weight you want to lose. Then it will calculate how many calories you can consume everyday to coincide with your goal. You can add all the food you eat to see exactly how much you are consuming including what percent of your diet is made up of fats, salt, carbs, protein ect. If you exercise the app will add the calories you burn back into your daily calorie intake, so working out gets you more calorie allowance in food. You can also add your friends for moral support, see each others updates and send them messages to add motivation.

The app is free and quite useful.
