dusalocks -- the problem with google is that ANYONE can post ANYTHING, so be careful of the sites you got this info from. sounds like the same misinformation most of us got from stylists back in the day. i was always told yrs ago that my hair is coarse; turns out according to my analysis and my current stylist and a curly stylist friend, it's medium, not coarse.

i'm not saying your hair isn't coarse, it can be and if the hair analysis came back with that, then it is most likely right and works with what you saw in comparison to other's hair. i'm saying i'd stick with what you've learned here and the curly girl book. so, you should look to other coarse textured curlies to get ideas for products. your porosity is also important, but texture is the most important when it comes to selecting products.
