If I plop, I only keep it up for about 15-20 minutes. Any longer and my curls get all wonky. I shower at night. Plop while I dry off, lotion up, put my jammies on, brush my teeth, etc. Then I take the plop down, apply a little more gel and reform any funky curls. I air dry then pineapple (hubby calls it my "chicken head") before going to bed. I also use a satin pillowcase. In the morning, I take the pineapple down, spritz with water, scrunch a little and I'm good to go.

Finding a routine that works well consistently for you takes time, patience and lots of failed experiments. Hang in there!
