I know someone who puts cream cheese frosting on pineapple upside down cake. IMO it's disgustingly sweet. But if that's your thing, you might like it.

That's what I was thinking. There's enough sugar in the batter, brown sugar and pineapple/juice that it doesn't need any more sugar.
