I could not find any reviews of this styling iron anywhere, so I bought it this week and used it last night. The iron has buttons on the inside to adjust the temperature and a digital display on the outside.
The temp. goes up and down in increments of 20 degrees.
I set it to 370 and during the process my hair NEVER smelled burnt. I felt like it was gentle with my hair. When I was done, it was bouncy and full and I could run my fingers through my it easily, and it did not feel dry.
My hair has some shine to it and the cuticle feels sealed from root to tip. I'm just not sure how it'll hold up in humid weather. Overall, I really like this flat iron.
I will do an update about whether or not my hair reverts when I wash it.

I washed my hair and most of it did revert. I did see some straight pieces and some breakage, and I do notice that my hair feels pretty dry after styling my hair with it a second time. Even though it is marketed as damage control technology and safe for everyday use, it's still a heat tool. Overall the product is pretty good, but it should be used with caution like any other flat iron.
